Among the many events scheduled across Umbria as part of the Umbria Water Festival from May 17th to 20th, the WWF Alviano bird sanctuary has launched a photography competition. Entries can take as their subject matter both fauna from the Alviano sanctuary and from the whole of Italy. The submission deadline is April 15th. All entries will be put on display at the Alviano sanctuary on May 20th.

The final auditions for the Coupe Mondiale CIA-IMC world accordion player competition will take place in Spoleto on May 26th, offering a selection of the world's finest accordion players that will go on to take part in the finals of the competition in August this year.

Città di Castello (PG) -
The prize-giving ceremony for this year's edition of the A+Com award promoted by Alleanza per il Clima and the Kyoto Club will take place in Terrafutura from May 25th to 27th. The prize is awarded each year to a local authority that has distinguished itself in the environment and introducing sustainable energy. The submissions deadline is March 9th.
